Hannah Brogden “self portrait”
12X18, Colored Pencils, 2017
I drew a self portrait and the style is realism, it is a photo of my face. Some symbolism would be arty because I used colored pencils and colored in opposite directions to make is look more real skin and I colored makeup to give it more detail like winged eyeliner to draw more attention to the eyes. If I started over id do the hair different and start making it look like strands of hair using different colors rather than doing it one smooth color before the detail. I love how the different directions with the colored pencils on the face make it detailed and more real looking.
Hannah Brogden “Print Making”
9X12, Print making, 2017
The style of my printmaking is realism because it is a sun flower. Peaceful symbolisms are found in this drawing I feel because flowers are simple and peaceful. If I started over I probably would have done something simpler because the flower pedals got harder to draw on the print because there was so many little ones being layered over. I love how vintage it looks on different colors it looks older and more unique.
Hannah Brogden “Skull & Rose”
12X18, Gauche & Drawing, 2017
The style of my drawing is abstract it is a skull and at the top it forms into a blooming rose. This symbolizes a bright side to everything that good can always be accomplished. If I started over I wouldn’t change anything about it because I did it how I planned and I love how it turned out, I love the color of the rose and how the gauche paint spread in water.
Hannah Brogden “Max”
12X18, Chalk & Colored pencils, 2017
The style of this drawing is realism it is my cat Max that just passed away that we have had since I was little. This was a picture I took of him sleeping one ear is tucked under him and he’s laying in a blanket, it symbolizes peace. If I started over I would have done the whole thing colored pencils because I don’t like chalk I like being able to do lots of details. I love how detailed the hairs are it makes it more realistic.
