Fall 2018
“Farm Landscape”
12x18, Shading pencils on paper, 2018
The style of my drawing is realism. My drawing is of a corn crib near my grandma’s house. I got the idea for my drawing from a picture I took. If I started over I would add more to the background or center the shed more, so there’s not as much empty space. I love the detail and shading on the shed.
“Pineapple”
12x18, Colored pencil and paint marker on paper, 2018
I got my idea from a picture I saw online. I knew I wanted to draw a pineapple because I’ve always thought they looked cool and they remind me of summer. Then, I decided I wanted to use different patterns for the background. If I started over I would make sure the patterns lined up better. I love the contrast between the colored pencil and marker and how the marker makes the pineapple stand out.
“Teacup and Tree Ring Printmaking Series”
9x12, 9x12, 18x24, Ink on paper, 2018
I chose to use the teacup as my subject matter for my print because it’s my favorite teacup and I thought it would look nice. I would add more ink to the print with dark blue ink since some of it didn’t show up. I really like the colors in the print with light blue paper and green ink. I also like how only half of tree ring printed onto the paper, I think it makes it look more unique.
