A fundamental part of AVID is to take students to visit colleges to allow them to make better informed decisions about their future. CHS AVID has been to several colleges to include: University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University, UOP, UC Davis, UC Merced, CSU San Francisco, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Fresno, CSU East Bay, CSU Sonoma, CSU San Jose, CSU Sacramento, and University Nevada, Reno.

We especially encourage our AVID grads to give us a tour if we visit their college OR meet with us to answer questions about their college. Many come back to the classroom to share their experiences and what the current AVID students can do now to be ready. It's very powerful for our students to see that Center High Graduates can and do go to college.
