About the Retreat
Each year, at the start of the Diploma Programme, all of our Grade 11 students attend the two-day, one-night retreat to launch the Diploma Programme. The theme of our retreat is global mindedness, a CDNIS take on the International Baccalaureate's notion of International Mindedness, one of their foundational principles.
Our retreat is an opportunity to build community and shared vision among our Grade 11 students. To do this, our students hear from several speakers and participate in various simulations and fun and engaging activities.
Permission Forms
All parents must complete and submit the retreat permission form and payment through the parent portal in Veracross. Students will not be permitted to participate if the form has not been completed.
Preparation for the Retreat
Aside from an overnight bag, here are a few other items students will need to bring:
Laptops will not be required and should be left at home.
A jacket or sweater
Water bottles and umbrellas
Most meals and snacks will be provided as part of the retreat fee (only dinner on Thursday night is not provided)
Mosquito repellant
