I got the Idea to create this bowl from last year's ceramic class i made a bowl for my mom and she really liked it. It was close to mothers Day so i thought this would be a great gift for her. The materials I used were clay and glaze. I put the clay together to create this bowl and then let it dry to be glazed. I used some tools to create the shapes on the side of the bowl for some design.  I wanted to try a color I have never used before for the glaze. I wanted this to be unique for everyone to see and including my mother. I thought this was a very unique bowl that I have done and I have not done an artwork like this before. The most challenging part getting the clay to stick together. Other than that I thought this was a pretty good artwork that I did. If I were to change something I would make a stronger bottom on the bowl because my bottom is not the best. This artwork is realistic and I love how it turned out.
