Jeremiah shadle "baseline drawing"
9 by 12, pencil and colored pencil, 2024
(IDEA) I just wanted to draw one of my favorite pokemon. I decided on this one because it is the pokemon I can draw well. It is the pokemon volcarona and I used multiple images for perspective drawing.
(PROCESS) I drew the main body first, then the wings, then colored. I used basic penscils and colored pencils to draw it.
(SYMBOLISM AND ICONOGRAPHY) It wasn't drawn for any symbolistic reasons. It is a pokemon idk.
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The most difficult part was the head, I made 3 seperate pages trying to draw a good one.
(VISUAL VOICE) I would say realistic because it is kinda in the style of the pokemon artstyle mixed with mine. I love the wings :>
Jeremiah Shadle "over the clouds"
like 9 by 12 or smth like that, paper, pencil, colored pencil, 2024
(IDEA) My idea was to draw something that looked good and also flew together well, and I got the idea because I was sketching some cloud drawings because that's what I wanted to draw. I wasn't really inspired to make this from anything.
(PROCESS) I did the outline of the clouds and the sun first, and made adjustments from there, then I colored the colored side, and shaded the uncolored side.
(SYMBOLISM AND ICONOGRAPHY) The artwork doesn't really mean anything significant, if you find something then you can believe that :>. I want people to think about the difference in color and no color. there is no symbolic imagery in this drawing.
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The most difficult part was shading in the dark side to make it the same as the colored side. I overcame this by using a blender stick thing. I would probably make the sun more in the line but otherwise it's good.
(VISUAL VOICE) I would say it is a bit surrealism due to this being an almost immposible sight due to the angle of the sun, as well as the coloring being not realistic. I would say that my style is drawing a bit stiffly, and you can see it here in some areas. I love the split down the middle that is there and I don't think the drawing would be as good without it,
Jeremiah shadle (midterm)
4 by 6, colored pencil and regular pencil, 2024
I liked the sink and how it look, and wanted to give a shot to a decently hard thing to replicate (for me) because of it's rounded shape and I am not good at drawing rounded things.

THEY AREN'T IN THE PICTURE RAAAAGH
Jeremiah shadle "broken tower"
10 by 12 or smth, pencil, 2024
(IDEA) my artwork is about a building being ripped apart by 2 black holes. I got this idea when thinking of another project to do. I don't really have any inspirations for this, I just wanted to draw something decent and cool
(PROCESS) First I drew the building and the black holes, then slowly drew things floating towards the black holes and then made the building look more and more damaged with an eraser and pencil
(SYMBOLISM AND ICONOGRAPHY) Idk what this means because yea. I would like people to think that black holes are cool :>. No symbolic imagery in the work :<
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The making of some of the small things ripped of the building the same size as the chunks on the building. I overcame it by looking and mesuring with my hand :>. I would maybe make the building look better :|.
(VISUAL VOICE) I'd say surreal, due to the black holes :>. the roughness seems to be what I'm good at and that has a lot of it. I love the idea :>
Jeremiah Shadle "The Mob"
paper, colored pencil (corrections), printmaking things
(IDEA) It is a friends artwork I used (I got permission) and I wanted to do an image I liked to draw for an easier time with knowing the colors I wanted. The artwork is called "topg" it is a image a friend drew of his brothers online character.
(PROCESS) My process went, 2 sketches, push in a plate, print thing on paper, the correct colors and cut, and then put on a piece of paper with extensions on the sides. printmaking :)
(SYMBOLISM AND ICONOGRAPHY) The artwork doesn't really mean anything it's just an image I wanted to draw
(ARTISTIC GROWTH)
(VISUAL VOICE)
