Jacob Moore "Random Collage" 9x12" multimedia
my first idea for this painting was a landscape with rocks on it but i realized i wouldnt have enough time to finsh it with the time left in the semester. so i decided to do a collage of images i found from news articles.
I first painted the background all blue. then i added little patches of different colors so it doesn't look like a super blank canvas. after that i started by gluing things i thought would look good on the paper. at the end once i thought i had enough i put modge podge on it so it would stay in place.
honestly the hardest part of this collage was finding things i thought would be good for the collage. most of the articles i looked through they where basically empty so i had to improvise and throw a whole bunch of stuff together.
this is an abstract work of art. i put American culture and space together to make this collage. this is unique to me because i made it. i love that Abraham Lincoln is portrayed as a goat.
This was my first idea for this class. It is a picture of me from when I was 6 years old on my birthday. I really wanted to paint this because it is a picture of me being happy.
I used the transfer paper to put my picture on the canvas after i painted the entire background a medium yellow color. Then I kinda just paint by numbered it until i was happy with what it looked like.
It means happiness because this was a very happy time in my life. I want the audience to smile at the picture of me smiling because i hope the picture brings you happiness
It is really hard for me to paint in the lines. something about the paintbrush i just always end up painting over the line for some reason. i had to put over a lot of extra coats because i painted over the area where that paint went.
This is a realistic painting. I tried my best to make it look realish but there are some flaws to it. It is my personal style by how I divided and concord. I would go from the cake to my shirt to my face and jump around because i was painting over spots i couldn't paint over. I love that i chose to do myself especially at this time period because it was probably the happiest time period of my life
.
painting the scissors was my first idea. i drew from the deck of cards and pulled scissors and then i drew it.
i used a pencil to draw the outline of the scissors and then i painted the rest of it with a paintbrush and acrilic paints
i hope the audience can tell that its supposed to be scissors . there isn't any symbolic imagery tied to this pair scissors
it was most difficult to make the blades about the same length. i couldn't get it good enough to my satisfaction and it took me a while until i got it right. I would've probably chose a different card and did something else
this is an non-objective painting. i kind of just drew the scissors and then painted them to my liking and that was it with the baseline.
