My first idea was going to be an eye with a heartigram on it. I wasn't able to do that one though because it wasn't my photo. Instead of that I was planning on doing the eiffel tower. I have pictures of it from the time I was in Paris so I thought it would work, but in all my pictures there was someone in the way of the tower and it would've made it harder to draw. I looked through all my pictures and eventually found the one of parliament and decided that it would be a fun challenge for me.
I used the grid method to do my drawing. I took the photo and put a grid over it so I could do it portions at a time. That was a little difficult with my drawing because of how many rooms and how much detail in each little square. For my tools I used a pencil, a shading tool, and a straight edge.
My artwork shows that even if you don't have much skill you can still make it look good. I am not a good artist at all. My drawing is supposed to be hyper realistic but it doesn't look like that. It looks like some average high schooler drew it, and that's fine. I didn't plan to make it look super realistic, I just put my pencil down and drew. I really liked making my drawings and that's all that matters, and even though it didn't turn out as good as I wanted I still think it looks good.
It was really difficult to start on the building. After I made the outline I was really stuck on how to start. I eventually started with the bottom but it was by far the easiest. After I was done with that I was again stumped on how to move forward. I started on the top and that really helped me for a while. Once I was in the middle of the building I started doing my grids not connecting. When doing this I could see how to connect the rooms better. I would change the photo to a different photo of parliament. Only got like 1/4th of it in mine.
It is a realistic drawing. I tried to make it as close to the original picture as possible. I love that you can see all of the rooms in the building that I drew out. I was really surprised I was able to finish it because at one point I was hard stuck until I drew straight lines all through it which helped me see each section better. I also went all over instead of going from one side to the other. This helped me so i could see everything better and know what i had to do
I picked a card from the deck and i got a cookie so i drew it.
I used pencil and colored pencil to make the cookie. i didnt use any techniques other than drawing and coloring the cookie
the artwork is just a picture of a cookie. i didn't put any thought into what it symbolized or what it means. i hope the audience thinks about milk because cookies without milk are too dry.
i started by getting a picture of a goose and a scooter. I erased them because i couldnt draw them and make them look good and the next card i drew was a picture of a cookie so i did that because it seemed really easy.
It is an abstract piece of art. it is my own style by how i left the circle lopsided. i love that it was my first drawing of the year in this class.
