Artist statement: For this project, I made a ceramic bowl that focuses on both function and design. I wanted it to look natural and handmade, so I kept some uneven edges instead of making it perfectly smooth. I used a blue-green glaze with brown around the edges to give it an earthy look and to highlight the shape of the bowl. The markings on the inside add a personal detail and make the piece more unique. Overall, my goal was to create something simple but visually interesting that could still be used in everyday life.
