I just wanted to add all the elements of a snowman into this piece in the form of a snowman, cause-duh.Everything worked out pretty smoothly, but the arms were a bit difficult and they still look a bit wonky, but it's okay.
This is a tribute to my old dog, Snuffy.I have a previous artwork about him in my graphic 1 slot and i used the same reference picture, this is just another image to remember him by.I didn't use the same method of making the shapes as everyone else-mainly cause i didn't know how it worked-but it turned out very well and the added effect of the shapes fading into the background is supposed to symbolize his loss.
This is supposed to show me in my element, style, and newly found aesthetic of traditional goth.I recently found this style and i got into the habit of dressing up dramatically in full black outfits, doing a full face of makeup with a white base, big bold eyeliner, sharp contour, and black lips-all of which i tried my best to show and portray in this piece.I tried to make this both cartoonish and slightly realistic and detailed at the same time, cartoonish with the flat blocks of color for the shading and details with the stray hairs.
For this piece, i wanted to make it funny by using an American Eagle in a human like stance-or mannerism. The old American flag in the background adds a nice rustic touch, the eagle is saluting , and the image itself is pretty funny.
It took me a while to find a nice saying to turn into an image, but i eventually settled on "It's raining cats and dogs."This choice was mainly for simplicity, but also i just love animals. The background was kind of easy to find, it was the dogs and cats themselves i had trouble with-not to mention the little details of the dog treats and balls of yarn.I literally had to search up "Dogs falling" and "Cats falling" to get good poses and expressions for this piece, but it all worked out in the end and i really like how this turned out.
i know it may be kind of simple to choose such a famously known piece, but it was the main one i thought would be somewhat easy to replicate...i was wrong. There are several things i don't like about this piece, the two sets of noodles don't match, the potatoes as her skin look weird, and her dress made out of hotdogs just looks iffy to me.I do like how i did her face though, it's simple, but it's kind of funny to look at.Overall, i think i could've done much better with this piece, but i don't hate how it turned out either.
