It took only two tries to figure out the pose I wanted him to be in, I eventually chose a perspective pose with his right fist up close and his body in the back.I was having trouble with the anatomy of this pose and got help to correct it.Otherwise, i did most of it by myself and it’s all in black and white.
I first started with outlining his form on the graphed paper, i then outlined the little details like his eye, nose, mouth, and collar.I then went on to shart adding the darker shadows where the light didn’t shine as much, then the lighter areas i kinda left alone, i then added these small short strokes to mimic his fur pattern, finally i finished off by erasing a bit of his eye to give it that shine.
Once again, I started with the outline on graphed paper, his eye, and nose. Then I went on to color the darker areas, lighter areas, and added those same fur-like strokes to give it more of a realistic look.I had a bit of trouble with a few parts and got some help, but I eventually got the hang of it and finished off with a bit of gel in his eye for some extra shine.
I won’t lie, this was kind of rushed just a bit and I don’t think I improved, but I also like how it turned out as well.I first started with a rough sketch on where i wanted everything to go, mostly erased it, started the bolder outline, added details, shadows, and finally signed it.
