When I had the idea of a landscape painting I immediately thought about this beautiful river I went to during my summer vacation. I started by scrolling through the pictures I had taken on the trip and saw the perfect one.I started with painting the background all blue because painting the sky has to be the first part because it's behind the mountains. Then I started by painting dark green for the mountains for the shadow. I then start going lighter and finishing the mountains then moving onto the water and then rocks on top of the water. Then I finished with the boats and then the chair. When painting the chair I started with white and then painting the colors I wanted over it. The artwork really doesn’t mean anything. It kind of shows how much I loved the river and the experience. So, if I was reaching then I could say it shows my love for nature's beauty. I want my audience to see that while the world isn’t doing great in some spots its still beautiful and worth living. The worst part about painting this artwork had to be the water and boats. If you cut this painting in half the thickest part would be the water and I kept going over it as I could never get the perfect shade of water. And then I had to add rocks, every time I did they were so bad. So in the end I settled for ok. I want to say this art style is realistic but I did a lot of blobs in this drawing. I don’t think it looks realistic but I know that's what I was trying to go for. I really like the chair, it has to be the best part about the painting.

My first idea for this piece was an object that made me happy. For me it was my National Catholic Youth Conference hat. It was the first one I traded for and It had all the pins I made that day. I started with a pink background then I started with the white for the hat. I added the black for the cow print and then went in with the shadows. After that I added the white outline for the pins. I mixed the colors for the pins and then painted them on. I think I made the white outline for the pins about 10 times. Then I added the designs on the pins and finally I shaded the pin and the hat around the pins. This artwork doesn’t have meaning. It's truly a fun little hat I got on a great vacation. The most difficult thing was painting the pins. They do not look realistic and I wish I went back and re-did them. They don’t even make sense in real context. This painting is in a realistic style. I feel like it feels like it was painted by me because of the background and how the pins look. I love the hat itself. I think it looks really good.

My Idea was to paint one of my teacher because I thought it would be funny. I got the idea because my friends and I think hes goofy. This is inspiration from real life because I painted a real picture of my band teacher. I started by sketching him out on the canvas after I made the background a blue I liked. I then painted the base color for his shirt and skin. Then shaded all the skin, added hair, and his nose. Lastly shaded and highlighted his shirt then painted the desk. This art work really was just a goofy idea. Theres not much meaning behind it besides the part where I think my band teacher is a funny guy. The worst part about painting this had to be the hands. I stink at drawing hands but painting and shading them was. a whole new level of difficult. Overall I kept them very simplistic and If I could start over I would work on them a little more. This is realistic or atleast is suppost to look realistic. I really like How it does look like him. Like if I showed this to any other band kid they would know it was him.

So the project I did was the animal catagory. I wanted to paint my dog as she passed away last October. The original picture shes wearing her halloween costume which was a lions main. I started with the background and then I messed up a lot so I made it look kind of abstract but really I just can't paint. I then Paitned the brown where her head and the main would be. I started with shading everywhere, then highlights, and then her nose. Lastly I painted her eyes. This artwork is just a painting of my dead dog. Other people won't get a reaction from it but at-least I will. The hardest part had to be her eyes. I just couldn't make them look good no matter how hard I tried. I kind of just gave up and didn't really overcome it. If I could restart I would changed the way her head is crooked. Its not centered and that will forever bother me. This is suppost to be realistic and you can tell this is a dog but it doesn't look like the dog I had. What I think is unique to my art style is the shading on the main. Its very blotchy and thats how I love to paint.
