In middle school, the the students are divided into 6th grade orchestra, and 7th & 8th grade orchestra. 6th Graders rehearse before school, while 7th and 8th graders meet during the day as a class.
6th Grade Orchestra meets twice a week before school for large group lessons. They also have a lesson once a week during their Related Arts, Foreign Language, or P.E. class. This gives students a chance to try each of the related arts and foreign languages classes when they get to middle school.
Students have 3 required performances throughout the school year.
7th and 8th graders meet every day as a class during the school day. By meeting every day, students have more time to learn advanced techniques on their instrument and prepare more music for each concert. 7th and 8th graders will also have opportunities to have small lessons during their COOL times

After School Orchestra is an extra performing ensemble consisting of mainly 7th and 8th grade orchestra students. They meet once a week on Thursdays after school from 3:30-4:30pm. This group specializes in playing fun seasonal music, pop music, and advanced repertoire in each concert.
Rehearsals are dismissed in time for students to take the 4:30pm activity bus.
