The 4th grade Stratford Feeder Orchestra consists of 4th grade students from Cloverdale, Elsie Johnson, and Roy DeShane. These schools combine to form their large group orchestra during before-school rehearsals.
Below, you will find all the information you need to have a meaningful experience in Orchestra!
Pullout lessons are where students learn essential techniques specific to their instrument. Students will have one 30 minute lesson a week on their designated lesson days. These will take place during the school day, and they will be pulled out of class in small groups of similar instruments.
Who: Small groups (4-6 Students) of similar instruments.
What to bring: All orchestra supplies to each lesson.
When: Once a week during school, scheduled with the classroom teacher ahead of time.
Homework: Students receive homework/practice assignments that must be completed for the following lesson.
Check back in August for individual school orchestra schedules.
Morning orchestra rehearsals begin at the end of October. This is where students learn vital musical and communication skills to play in an orchestra!
Rehearsals take place at Cloverdale Elementary School, and students from Elsie Johnson and Roy DeShane will be bused back to their schools in time for classes to start.

What to Bring: All orchestra supplies and supplies for the school day.
Where: Cloverdale Elementary School Gym - 1182 Merbach Dr, Carol Stream, IL 60188
When: Drop off starts at 7:15am, Rehearsal begins promptly at 7:30am.
All supplies should be brought to each lesson and before school rehearsal.
