We highly recommend renting your student’s instrument through Quinlan & Fabish. In addition to providing high-quality instruments for your students, the rental comes with insurance for all repairs and size-ups as they continue through orchestra. As your student grows, they will move up to a bigger instrument until they can play on a full size instrument. Some 4th grade students can require up to 3 instrument exchanges or repairs in one year!
Please do not purchase any instruments from other online retailers such as Amazon, Ebay, etc. These instruments are often low quality and will hinder your child’s experience in orchestra. To move up in size, you’ll be required to purchase a new instrument and will have to fund any repairs, broken strings, and bow maintenance. If your family is interested in purchasing a quality instrument for an experienced student, please contact their orchestra director or private lesson teacher.
***Students who receive free meals through the National School Lunch Program will be eligible for a fee waiver and can use a district-owned instrument. There are a limited number of instruments available, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please reach out to the orchestra directors with questions.
