March

Welcome to March and Spring. We are heading into the last part of the year strong.  We are working at a faster pace and continuing to grow in math, reading, science and social studies.  We had our progress reports go home this week.  Let's work hard and make the end of the year great!!  Many fun activities coming up this spring, so be sure to read emails or papers that come home to be informed.

We had fun today choosing an item out of  the Journal writing box.  Yesterday we pulled out a bunny... (don't worry not a real one)  and the students wrote about bunnies.  Today we pulled out a baseball calendar.  So the students needed to write about baseball in their journal.  It was interesting to see who knew about the sport and who had been to a baseball game before.  We of course needed to have a White Sox's baseball calendar to write about.  😉

St. Patrick's Day Stations Today

Today during guided reading we worked on our St. Patrick's Day stations.  We worked on our teen numbers and counted items to make that number.  We also rolled our dice and added the numbers together.  We filled our shamrock sums paper.

Buddy Board Games

We had fun learning new board games and playing with our 5th grade buddies.
