CCHS Families,
As snow begins to fall with the holidays right around the corner, we often think of our family, and looking forward to spending time with them. While each and every one of our students has their family at home, we're proud of the family we've created with them here at school each day. With family comes traditions, which we will carry on this year. Please see below for our December fun calendar. If students come to school wearing the color or accessory marked for that day, they will be given raffle tickets that enter them for a chance to win one of many gift baskets at the end of the month. The main focus of school will always be learning, but we also want to provide students with memories that they can look back on fondly when thinking about High School.
While this time of year is fun, it also brings out additional stress. Schedules get busier, the days get shorter, and family obligations increase. We realize that in general, we all need a little bit more grace this month. We are here to support our students in any way that they need. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything you're noticing at home that we can help with as well.
We also have a new addition to the CCHS family! Ms. Celeste will start on December 1st as our new Assistant Principal. She brings passion, excitement, and experience to the role that will only make our school even better. See below for her full bio.
I wish you all a very safe and happy holiday season!

This is to serve as a reminder about the law passed by Governor Hochul, banning internet-enabled devices (such as smartphones, smart watches, and tablets) during the school day. From the start of first period (7:17), until the end of last period (1:52), phones/personal devices will be stored in student lockers. Please see the letter linked below for full details on the cell phone policy. Thank you in advance for your support and partnership in the success of the students.
As a building, we are focusing on student attendance and punctuality this year. Student success relies heavily upon children consistently being at school, and being here on time.
Doors open for students at 7:00 a.m. each day. First period begins promptly at 7:17 a.m., and it is essential that students are in their classrooms ready to learn at that time. To help us reduce tardiness and strengthen academic performance in all classes, we are introducing two new attendance procedures this year:
No outside food or drink will be permitted into the building after 7:17 a.m. Students arriving late will be asked to dispose of these items before entering.
Tardies will now count toward our special event attendance requirements. Just as absences are considered in determining eligibility for certain school events and activities, arriving late will also be factored in.
The full list of special event requirements can be found in the attendance letter linked below. Thank you for your help with getting students here, and prepared to succeed each day.
