CCHS Families,
We want to thank all of you for your help in a great start to this school year! October brings lots of exciting dates and activities to the High School, including homecoming week, red ribbon week, and Halloween fun. Please urge your student to join in on the festivities as often as they can.
October also brings about 5-week progress reports. Please continue to check parent portal to keep up on your student's academic performance. For anyone that is having trouble accessing parent portal, please reach out to the guidance office at 716-686-3634.

This is to serve as a reminder about the law passed by Governor Hochul, banning internet-enabled devices (such as smartphones, smart watches, and tablets) during the school day. From the start of first period (7:17), until the end of last period (1:52), phones/personal devices will be stored in student lockers. Please see the letter linked below for full details on the cell phone policy. Thank you in advance for your support and partnership in the success of the students.
As a building, we are focusing on student attendance and punctuality this year. Student success relies heavily upon children consistently being at school, and being here on time.
Doors open for students at 7:00 a.m. each day. First period begins promptly at 7:17 a.m., and it is essential that students are in their classrooms ready to learn at that time. To help us reduce tardiness and strengthen academic performance in all classes, we are introducing two new attendance procedures this year:
No outside food or drink will be permitted into the building after 7:17 a.m. Students arriving late will be asked to dispose of these items before entering.
Tardies will now count toward our special event attendance requirements. Just as absences are considered in determining eligibility for certain school events and activities, arriving late will also be factored in.
The full list of special event requirements can be found in the attendance letter linked below. Thank you for your help with getting students here, and prepared to succeed each day.
