Your studies in Year 12 will be focused on a range of literary and non-literary texts that a cover a wide range of Conceptual Understandings, Areas of Exploration and text types. The literary texts and non-literary bodies of work we will study have been chosen specifically with the Individual Oral in mind.
As we work our way through the first year of this course, you will be asked to consistently be considering possible links between texts, global issues present in these works and how you may go about pairing specific literary and non-literary works together.
The culmination of your Year 12 studies in the Individual Oral (IO) which is an official IB Internal Assessment that counts for 20% of your final IB mark. This assessment will take place at the beginning of June. You can learn more about the IO on pages 4-6 of the CCS Language and Literature student guide
