Welcome to the first year of your studies in IB Language and Literature at Higher Level. 

You will discover very quickly that IB Lang/Lit HL is a challenging course that requires you to be self-motivated, prepared and passionate about English literature and the written word. This is an exciting curriculum that allows for you, the student, to have much more creative control over your learning and assessments. 

Although the Language and Literature course at Higher Level is challenging, it is also highly rewarding. There's something here for everyone from literature, film and drama to advertising, television and other forms of mass media.  

I look forward to exploring all this course has to offer with you over the next 2 years.
