246^th Marine Corps Birthday Ball at Eastern View High School

The Marine Corps Birthday is an extraordinary event for all Marines worldwide. It does not matter if we are in the jungle or guarding the embassy in Moscow; I assure you that all Marines will celebrate the 246th birthday. On Nov 12 at Eastern View High School, we welcome you and your cadets to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday with us. In some parts of the world, the Marine Corps Birthday is celebrated by Kings and Queens of their host nation. The Marine Officers not only serve as military advisors but also as diplomats representing the United States. One of the training requirements for all Marine Officers is to be capable of dining with diplomats, ambassadors, and state leaders. These trainings are continuous throughout our career, but it starts at Quantico, Naval Academy, and ROTC all across the nation. We are taught dining etiquette, and, during the birthday ball, we can o test our skills. The birthday ball at EVHS is not only for fun and socialization, but it also serves as an opportunity for young men and women to attend a formal event.
