Air Rifle Team

Culpeper County MCJROTC Air Rifle Team is a select group of shooters who compete in three-position air rifles across Virginia. We compete against other JROTC units, independent clubs, and at the state and national. Any person enrolled at Culpeper High School, and Eastern View High School can join the air rifle team. No previous shooting experience is required.

The Old Dominion Junior Rifle League (ODJRL) is a series of six monthly matches for junior rifle clubs, junior divisions of senior clubs, and high school rifle teams.

The match will be held at King George High School in King George, VA. This will be a 3x20 match with no finals. This will be a sanctioned CMP Cup Match. Excellence in Competition (EIC) points will be awarded for qualifying scores in accordance with the current edition of the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules.

For Coaches >>>>>>>>>>>>>
- Please accept or decline your qualifying teams and individuals by 14 December, we need to let the hotel know how many rooms will be required ASAP.
- Teams and individuals scores in red will receive Headquarters funding for travel and lodging (registration fees?)
- The room roster was taken off your top shooters who qualified. Please update or verify the room roster and send it back to Major Koerber (koerber@aps.edu). - If you have a female shooter, a female chaperone is required.
- If your team did not qualify for funding but you had an individual who did, if you accept the team you will be required to pay for the other shooters on your team who are not funded. HQ's will still pay for the shooter who qualified, the coach and a female chaperone if required.
- No passenger vans larger than 7 passenger vans will be authorized in DTS
- Please ensure you let us know if you will be arriving after the 1st or departing before the 5th of February. We do not want to pay for empty hotel rooms. The date of arrival and date of departure is on the room roster.
- Breakfast will be provided. We are working on dinner, more to follow on that. Lunch is up to the coach.
