PA612O/H COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Concert Orchestra provides an opportunity for JRHS  musicians of varying skills to develop advanced musicianship while playing orchestral literature through grade level 5 in a performing ensemble. From year to year, we focus on a different time period such as the baroque or classical. Purchase or rental of specified concert attire is required. There is a required $15 music fee for participation in all music classes. This course may be repeated each year for academic credit. Please note: Orchestra is a co-curricular performing arts class. That means that the evening rehearsals and concerts are required and graded per CCPS policy. Expect a minimum of ten rehearsals and six performances (including in-school assemblies, recruitment field trips, and evening concerts).
