Second graders start expanding their vocabulary of rhythms and pitches. They learn and apply their knowledge of the elements of music to movement and stories. They get the unique opportunity to learn about our state song and famous musicians from Georgia. They also continue to build their singing skills by learning songs from all over the world. They expand their knowledge of instruments to ones we find outside our classroom while learning how to become more proficient on the instruments we have daily access to play.
This year, 2nd Grade will have the opportunity to perform at PTO on Thursday, February 18.
