In first grade, we start building our knowledge of music as we expand our experiences with it. Students learn how to read and write basic rhythms and pitches, they learn what makes sound and how to identify different classroom instruments, they learn specific patriotic songs, and build their repertoire of folk songs from America and around the world.Â
This year, 1st Grade will perform the musical, Bugz, on Thursday, March 11.
