Regardless of where you are, chances are you have had a teacher you admire for the great impact they had on your life, someone who helped you understand a difficult concept, or had a memorable learning moment in the classroom.
World Teachers' Day is celebrated on October 5th. It's a good time to remember those special instructors who aided our students and to appreciate those who inspired us all in the classroom.
Officers of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture Faculty Federation hold a virtual celebration in honor of our teachers' extraordinary hardships and sacrifices during the new normal, and encourage other faculty to strive by listening to our new colleague professors' inspiring message.Dr. Immaculate Falabi, President of the CBSUA Faculty Union, made an introductory statement to kick off the program. Despite our sadness, she underlined the importance of teaching during the pandemic and greeted our teachers with joy regardless of our existing educational situation. The speech was backed up by a warm greeting from CBSUA President-Dr. Alberto Naperi also extends his warm greetings to our instructors, praising their resilience in the face of the challenges we are currently facing. Honoring our New Professors Dr. Marilyn Balderamas, Dr. Dariel Palmiano, Dr. Jennifer Eboa, and Dr. Adelfa Villaflor shared their personal and professional journeys to become professors and provided remarks to stimulate and encourage other faculty to strive for personal and professional progress.
The students collaborated with the Student Council Officers create a tribute to instructors for their unwavering support and dedication to their students' education. They demonstrated how instructors made their dreams come true. They award prizes to instructors through a raffle draw, which brings joy and excitement to our deserving teachers who have received gifts from the Faculty Union and Sponsors. The celebration came to a close with a message from the Vice President of the Faculty Union, Dr. Charlie Nacario and CBSUA Hymn played after it.
