This time of year the Year 6 children participate in the Archbishop of York’s Young Leadership Award.
The course helps us to think about the skills needed to become young leaders. We look at a sample of world leaders and inspirational people to help us understand what it means to be a good leader. We are encouraged through the scheme to be active in our homes and community.
For our action project we organised and ran stalls at our school summer fayre. We raised an amazing £106…..well done Year 6!
Miss Edwards runs Art & Craft clubs over 3 lunchtimes a week and the children make a whole host of wonderful projects. This term we have made Wreaths, Easter Jars, Tie Dye, Pineapple Lamps, Bugs and a whole heap of other wodnerful creations.
The children thoroughly enjoy Craft club and all work so hard. We have lots of fun whilst learning new skills along the way.
The highlight of the summer term had to be our KS2 performance of Annie Junior
The children from Class3, 4 and 5 worked super hard and our year 6 children did a fabulous job in adding all the characters to the performance.
What a show they put on for you all, receiving a standing ovation on the final performance on Thursday night.
