Job Shadow
CCS students request a job shadow by filling out the online application. Requests for placement will be facilitated by a Career Development Coordinator (CDC). CDCs will help students find a placement in their area of interest.
In job shadowing, a student gets the opportunity to partner with a business and their school. The student can see what it is like to perform a certain type of work by accompanying an experienced worker as they perform the targeted job of interest.
Students in Catawba County Schools can apply for a job shadow experience after school or in the summer. All grade levels can job shadow. A job shadow experience is usually for half a day or one day at a site.
