Q: I don't know my credentials, who would have those?
A: Credentials for Focus and Focus Server are maintained by the Video Staff
Q: The Tablets are only connected to a USB-C cable. Do I need another cable to connect them to the network?
A: No, the tablets are connected using POE (Power over Ethernet) USB-C converters. Inside of the field carts, the ethernet cables are connected to the POE converters, providing both a 1 GB network connection and power.
Q: iPads are wireless, do I need to plug them in if they have enough battery power?
A: Yes, you need to utilize the USB-C cables to connect the iPads to the network. The league has mandated Live Video solutions must be wired. In order for iPads to view new plays, they must be connected to the network. iPads will be disconnected from the network for coaches review, but must be reconnected in order to see new plays.
Q: On the logging system, I get a grey screen stating I'm unable to locate the .ts file.
A: Ensure the Share Video Recording Directory is setup correctly. This is an indication the Focus Logger is unable to see the .ts files in that share. There could be a typo in the Advanced Server Setting, or a permissions issue accessing that share.
Q: Tablets are not able to connect to the server.
A: Ensure the power strips in the junction boxes on the sidelines, the coaches booth, and in the central switch location in the pressbox are turned on. The tablets will receive 172.16.101.x IP addresses. Receiving a 169 IP address is an indication the IPads are not communicating with the core switch.
Q: Not receiving a TV broadcast feed.
A: Ensure the power strips in the truck bay are powered on. Refer to the Live Video Technician app for the specifics of each stadium.
