The promise of a student centered blended approach to this challenge - is to:
figure out what students need with respect to grade level content and in addition to grade level content;
determine how to personalize grade level content; and
design a student experience AND additional supports (intervention, summer programs etc) so learners can fill gaps, improve reading skills, access the grade level content and increasingly complex texts, to become more proficient readers.
