What is a Google Chrome Extension?
Google Chrome extensions are programs that can be installed into Chrome in order to change how it works. This includes adding new features and functions to Chrome or customising it so it is easier to use.
Instructions for adding extensions and apps are explained in the video tutorial below.
Please sync your chrome browser with your school G Suite account for access to extensions recommended by Digital Learning Coordinator Mr. J Shortt and curated by him in the castletroycollege.ie collection. (Instructions)
See examples below and request an extension installation you want for users at Castletroy College by submitting a request to Mr. Shortt using the ICT Support Request Form.
It is useful to sync your browser with your school G Suite account. Benefits include access to a curated castletroycollege.ie browser extension collection in the web store. Many of these extensions will be unfamiliar to you but may be very useful.
You can reverse the process if you change your mind later.
