May 2025 Dr. Meredith Erickson, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and Grade 11 Student, Sophia Tibbetts were invited to speak at the 2025 Massachusetts STEM in Education Summit held at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Recognized as leaders in state, they shared how Carver is leading the charge in career and technical pathways and the importance of preparing students for career and college readiness. The annual STEM Summit brings together students, educators, and employers to promote innovative access points and pathways to STEM education, recent investments to expand college and career readiness, effective policies for workforce recruitment and retention, and new opportunities for industry partnership and work-based learning. “Innovation Career Pathways have a positive impact for our high school students and for the future of our workforce. By expanding access to applied learning in fields like clean energy, life sciences, and information technology, we’re preparing young people for successful careers in some of the fastest-growing industries in our state,” said Governor Maura Healey.
April 2024: Governor Healey and Secretary of Education Patrick Tutwiler visit Carver Middle High School PathwaysGovernor Maura Healey and Secretary Tutwiler visited Carver Middle High School on April 3, 2024, to see firsthand how students were exploring Pathways programming. During the visit, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced the awarding of new Innovation Career Pathway designations to 36 high schools across the state, including Carver. Carver Middle High School was highlighted as one of the first five schools to offer a Clean Energy Pilot pathway. The school also received a $75,000 grant for facility improvements and equipment related to these programs. Local officials, including Superintendent Scott Knief and Interim Town Administrator Elaine Weston, expressed gratitude for the administration's support, noting that the programs provide students with "rigorous and relevant coursework" that ensures they are college and career-ready.

January 12, 2022: Pathways students share their expertise with our fourth and fifth-grade students. It was an awesome morning and they ignited a spark, planted a seed, and generated excitement for the diverse learning opportunities our elementary students will experience in the future as they transition to and move through Carver Middle High School.
