Students are expected to arrive to class prepared and on time, and if they do arrive late, then they must obtain a late pass from their previous teacher.
Teachers will call home after every 4th late & document this in the computer system as "excessive lateness to class". Administrators will assign detention after every 4th late as well. Parent meetings will be scheduled for severe offenders.
If a student arrives late to class up to 10 minutes after the bell rings, then the teacher will enter that lateness as a TARDY / LATE (unexcused).
Any student who arrives late to class 15 to 24 minutes after the bell rings, then the student will will be written up for a CUT (unexcused).
Students who arrive late to class 25 to 45 minutes after the bell rings will be marked CUT (unexcused).
More than 20 unexcused absences will result in NO CREDIT earned for a FULL YEAR course.
Cuts are UNEXCUSED absences. Four (4) cuts may result in permanent removal from the class, with NO CREDIT earned for the course.
Lateness to class will affect your On Time Points (OTP) grade, which is calculated as a FORMAL ASSESSMENT grade in my gradebook. You will receive an OTP grade for each marking period.
