Paleoradiology or (ancient radiology) is the study of archeological remains using radiology techniques. It brings specific new information to historical sites. In this session, several of the most remarkable findings were demonstrated.
We understood that this was a job that required many people as radiologists, archaeologists, bio-archaeologists, anthropologists, etc...
It allows to find the sex, the age, the causes of the death, ...
Mummification is also a very good way to preserve the bodies. Moreover it is in 2007 that was achieved the first MRI, what surprised us because it is rather recent. Other examinations were carried out like radiography, CT scan, endoscopy,...
Concerning our impressions, there were very interesting moments as well as very boring ones.
Depending on who we talked to, we understood more or less what they were talking about.
Some photos could shock us (in particular the fetuses in jars exposed in a museum in Vienna that we did not go to see)
Our favourite visit was the city center, because of its architecture and its cleanliness. We also visited the Saint Stephen's cathedral, the museum of illusions, the Belvedere palace, the Danube river, the Saint Peter's church, Hundertwasserhaus which is a very nice district, the Fertstel passage,...
Outside the city center we went to see the Schönbrun castle with its beautiful gardens and the oldest zoo in the world with many animals.
And to finish we went to the Prater park where there is the oldest European big wheel and also a lot of attractions.

We did not taste many culinary specialities, but we did like the Schnitzel, which are breaded chicken breasts served with a potato salad. However, we tested a restaurant that was particularly original with very nice waiters. The food and drinks arrived by rails, rather quickly.
