VISIT AND MONUMENTS :

During this trip, our favourite visit was at Schönbrunn Palace, otherwise known as Sissi's Palace. We chose this one because it is an emblematic monument of the city of Vienna. Moreover, we had seen the movie during our childhood and this visit allowed us to see the real places of the scenes of the movie. Thanks to the audio guide, we were able to learn and understand the history of this castle.

Unfortunately, we don't have any interior photos to share with you as taking photos was prohibited.

In this city, there are many neighbourhoods with typical architecture, many historical monuments, as well as many squares that we had the opportunity to discover.

THE SPECIALITIES:

Viennese chocolate was very good. However, in Vienna the whipped cream is not sweet compared to that of France.

On the other hand, the cake called Apfelstrudel (roulé aux pommes) disappointed us.

We were able to taste these specialties at the central cafe.

We had the opportunity to eat in a good restaurant which allowed us to discover these dishes.

These specialities are Goulash (boeuf avec sauce au paprika) and Wiener Schnitzel (escalope viennoise).

Very good surprise for the Wiener Schnitzel.

However, the goulash was not to our liking.

This is the Käsewurst mit Senf und Semmel (saucisse au fromage avec moutarde et petit pain).

A speciality that we loved and which can be found on every street corner in Vienna.

During this week, we travelled with buses and subways.

THE CONGRESS :

We went to see several conferences of different levels. However, understanding was complicated. The conference we preferred was about the obesity pandemic. We liked it because it gave us advice on caring for obese patients.

There was another building where several manufacturers displayed their new machines.
