Our favorite conference : Sport injuries
This conference took place on Wednesday March 1st from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
There were 2 presenters each doing a different 45min part.
The first part was on the “shoulder and elbow” presented by Christoph Schaeffeler, from Switzerland.
In this one two subparts were present :
To become familiar with the most common clinical features and mechanisms of injury to the upper limb in athletes.
To learn about the use of imaging to detect sport-related injuries to the upper limb.
The second part was on “lower limb” presented by Carlo Martinoli, from Italy.
In this one there were also 2 subparts : the same as the previous part.
This conference was interactive.
Indeed, questions were asked throughout the conference and we could answer them on our phone. The answers of all the participants were displayed directly on the board.
We liked all of this because it allowed us to understand better because to see the English in writing was easier to understand and additional explanations were given which was interesting.
Our favourite activity :
On our third day, we visited a building with a special architecture, Hundertwasserhaus. It is a place with a colourful facade, located in the 3rd district of Vienna. This place can be seen only from the outside.
We could also go in the Hundertwasser Village, situated just in front of Hundertwasserhaus. It is a small and unique shopping center with a "village square", a bar and many stores in the typical Hundertwasser style.
Our favourite meal in Vienna :
Wiener Schnitzel
During a meal with all the class we could discover a dish of Vienna : the Wiener Schnitzel accompanied by its potatoes in salad. It was a very copious and very good meal.
Aïda
For our last day, we were able to go and taste Australian Mehlspeisen in a famous chain of cafe und Konditorei: Aïda. The omnipresent pink colour was very welcoming and warm.
There were plenty of cakes available as well as hot drinks. Both of us had taken a different pastry and they were very good. On the other hand, we also took a hot chocolate each but they were not good, they were too chocolatey.
