The Liturgy Band is specialised in bring together girls across years 10 to 13 who have a passion to use their angelic voices for singing at school Masses.

Through the many twists and turns that this year has had to offer, the Liturgy Band has managed to pull through with their catholic spirit and harmonious talent. The Carmel Liturgy Band has truly helped enhance the hopes of the community’s students and have made singing assemblies the more merrier. Every Wednesday morning, you hear the wondrous melodies pervade the atrium, making mornings truly inspiring and motivating. The Liturgy Band have taken upon themselves to be involved with the New Zealand Lockdown by putting together their own virtual performance of their very own one-of-a-kind song “Shout To The Lord”, combining their very talents with the help of Mr Child’s skilled instrumentals and Sonia Lin’s fabulous piano playing. Liturgy Band had certainly had their way with cutting many corners to give their very best performances and comforting catholic messages out to their humble students, staff and community.

Our desire this year was to honour the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope this has inspired many hearts at Carmel College and sets out a influential path for the future generations.
