Yearbook Extract:

The Junior String Ensemble consists of eight girls who are year 7 to 9.  We either play Violin or Cello.  Every Monday lunchtime, we gather in the Senior Music room and practic pieces given to us by our conductor and Violin teacher Mr Lovie.  He has given up his time to teach us and practise with us to help us improve our skills.  This year, we had the opportunity to perform at the Annual Music Showcase at Carmel College, Year 7 and 8 Assembly and the Junior Prizegiving. There we played the songs ‘Boil ‘em cabbage down’ and ‘Spring’ and also Ode to Joy.  This was our first time performing in front of a big audience!  It was an amazing experience, especially for the young ones.  We would also like to express our gratitude to Mr Lovie and Mr Child for their ongoing support.
