High School Make-Up Credit
High school students who are in need of making up prior failed courses towards graduation eligibility have several options. Talk to the counseling office about options, information, and for any questions you may have regarding make-up credit. A few options are provided below:
Option 1: Carbon High School Credit Recovery: This is done through edgenuity. See your counselor for more information.
Option 2: Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP): offers a variety of courses available online through different districts/schools/vendors. Students may find out what types of courses and more information about SOEP by going to the Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) website.
Option 3: Carbon School District Summer School: offered through Carbon High School. Summer school schedules are available in all district secondary schools Counseling Centers beginning in April of the current academic school year if Summer School is available. Check with a counselor if you have questions regarding which credits or classes you may be in need of making up. These courses are offered for previously failed classes only and are through the district credit recovery system.
**Other options may be available. Please check with your counselor about these and all other options prior to enrolling in a particular course or program to find out about credit guidelines and accreditation standards.
