Advanced Placement Information

The College Entrance Examination Board (known as the College Board) sponsors the Advanced Placement Program.  It allows students to earn college credit while still in high school. Carbon High School offers AP courses which can be taken generally during the 11th and 12th grade years.  AP exams are taken at the end of each AP class. High Scores on AP exams demonstrate mastery of college-level material and are looked on very favorably by college admissions officers.  High scores also allow you to waive up to a year of credit in the subject where the test was taken.

How do I order an AP Exam?  Students must register for a test by NOVEMBER 14th, 2025 by 1pm and pay the fee of $99.00.

-Student's registering after November 14th, 2025 will be charged a $40 late fee (AP Statistics is an exception)

Registration:  All tests must be ordered by NOVEMBER 14th, 2025

-No exams can be ordered after March 13th, 2026

Cost:  $99.00 per exam

AP Courses Offered at CHS for '26-'27:   Biology, Calculus AB, Language/Composition, Literature/Composition, World History, & U.S. History.
