ACT - American College Test

ACT & College Admissions: Students who are interested in attending a post-secondary institution are encouraged to register and take the ACT (American College Test).  ACT scores are used by colleges for placement, scholarships and many colleges require the ACT for admission.   

ACT Timeline: All Juniors will take the ACT test during the state administration on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, and Seniors are encouraged to take the test during the October and December exam dates, to receive test scores prior to collegiate admissions and scholarship deadlines.  Colleges use a student's ACT and GPA in determining an admissions index score used for both admissions criteria and many merit based scholarships.
