We are excited to announce that Canfield Local Schools has purchased Naviance to be implemented into our schools for this coming school year in grades 8-12. Naviance is the premier comprehensive college and career readiness platform that enables self-discovery, career exploration, academic planning, and college preparation. Through Naviance, each student creates an electronic portfolio of college and career experiences to help make post-secondary decisions that align with his/her talents, interests, and aspirations. This is a single sign-on platform that links directly with their google accounts, and streamlines nearly all of the tasks our students go through already.

Contact the Mahoning Valley College Assistance Program (PLYMC), a group helping kids with a variety of things, including FAFSA paperwork, ACT registration, and more. PLYMC is delighted to be partnering with the Mahoning Valley College Access Program (MVCAP), an organization that provides services to students in grades 6-12 and families with the goal of providing them with resources and tools that enable students to confidently take the next step toward their career goals.
One-on-one or family sessions are available in-person or virtually for education about financial aid for college or vocational training, guidance in completing the student or parent portion of the FAFSA financial aid application, and assistance with FAFSA verification if selected to verify. Students may also receive guidance as they research best fit colleges or technical schools, identify and apply for scholarships, complete requirements for enlistment in the military, search for employment opportunities, create resumes, and more.
To schedule an appointment, email director@themvcap.org.in
Appointments are encouraged. People who stop by in-person without an appointment will be served if no one has an appointment at that time.
