From left to right: Aiden, Parker, ME, and my husband, Jason. This is us at my son's Parker's graduation from Ohio University this past year. A little about our family.... My husband is a very talented artist who draws or paints every single day. Parker is entering a new world of adulthood. Aiden loves to create music and hopes to find himself in the entertainment world.
And ME.... I'm a wife, a mom, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, an in-law, a helper, a reader, a writer, and more.... I love my family and my home and I LOVE SCHOOL!!!!!!

My Goldendoodle, Poyo! Uhhh she is the love of my life and is obsessed with me. My husband has us all named in the order in which she likes us. I, of course, am #1. Parker is #2, Mr. Webb is #3, her toys and peanut butter are #4, my mom is #5, my sister is #6, and Aiden is #7. Poyo is extremely energetic and cuddly at the same time. She is just about 4 years old.

This is Rue, our Bernidoodle. She is a rescue and a great addition to our family. Still a puppy, she is a sweet and friendly dog who listens more than anyone in the house. I love bringing her to school because she is so well-behaved and loves to roam around and meet everyone.

I have been teaching in Canfield for 23 years. Actually, I teach in the same room now as I did when I first got hired (even though in the beginning I was moved around).
My experience in teaching: Grade 5 (ELA and SS)- 2 yearsGrade 3 (Hilltop)- 1 yearGrade 5 tutor- 1 yearGrade 7 (ELA)- 1 yearGrade 5 (ELA) - 18 years
I do not think of teaching as a job because it is something that I truly love. I feel like I have grown so much as a teacher and I am always learning to bring something new to the students.
Even though my family and I are Fitch Falcons at home, I also have the privilege of being a Cardinal. I take pride in my students and my district, and I am honored to be a part of the Canfield community.
This drawing was created by my husband and it hangs just outside my classroom door. Although it's an artistic piece, the meaning behind it is more important. When faced with adversity, you should be.... "finding the cardinal within." WE WILL find our inner cardinal. WE WILL be great. WE WILL be stronger together.
I cannot wait to start the new school year!
