For the first week of Distance Learning, students will receive a printed packet, available in English and Spanish. These packets will be distributed by grade level. Each grade level assignment is the same for both Ninety-One and Baker Prairie students. One packet covers a week’s worth of at-home learning.
Packets can be picked up at either school from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Friday, April 10 or on Monday from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Middle school staff will also push out online materials through Google Classroom for next week. Teachers will provide specific information about Google Classroom to their students.
Staff will deploy a limited number of mobile Internet hotspots to families without reliable Internet connectivity. You may also consider contacting your local Internet provider for free access. Click here to learn more.
Canby School District will not be utilizing any video conferencing tools to conduct live instruction. Instead, it will be delivered through printed materials, email, phone calls, and Google Classroom. Some staff may include video instruction, but it will be recorded and will not be delivered in real time. Therefore, students will have the flexibility to complete assignments at a time that works best for them during the school day.
