All district staff with a district user account are required to change their password every 90 days. If 90 days lapses and your password has not been changed, your account will be locked.
All district staff are also required to enroll in the “CCSD Password Manager” which can be found in BravesLink under the “Change my Password” icon. You will have to supply this system with another form of identification such as your cell phone number, answers to personal questions or connect it to the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
After enrolling with this service you will receive email reminders to change your password each day, beginning 7 days before expiration. Also you will have the ability to reset your own password without having to contact the IT staff if you forgot it using one of the other authentication methods you chose during the enrollment process. Click on the “Forgot my password” link at the top of the BravesLink/Classlink login page to do this.
Additional information on enrolling, and using the CCSD Password Manager to reset your password along with the password requirements can be found below.
We are changing how substitute teachers log in to our network. This change will allow our substitutes to use Google Drive while keeping the accounts secure. Each building will have a unique sub-account (subpes, subms, subhs).
The password for this account is changed daily and emailed to the office staff for each building. All substitutes will check in with the office staff when they arrive, where they will receive a printed document with the username and password for that day. The teachers should leave sub plans in the Y: drive substitute folder or the Substitute Google Shared drive.
This change will start on Monday March 27th. If you have any substitutes with problems logging in please send them down to the main office for assistance.

Should be provided a written set of directions, created by you, letting them know how to use the technology in your room; for example, how to turn on/off the computer, how to turn on/off the projector and Smartboard, how to play a DVD if any of these items will be needed to complete your lesson plan
We understand that numerous times throughout the year people from outside the district are invited to present items to students or staff members. The more time you can give us to prepare the more likely your event is successful. At minimum, please give us a 1 week heads up with as many details as possible.
Q - A presenter is bringing her power point presentation on a flash drive. She will be here an hour before to setup. There are no links to outside sources. Is there anything I’m missing?
A - You should be Golden! This is the ideal situation. A tech would be happy to help if necessary.
Q - Jason is signing out a classroom after hours to run training. He would like to utilize a district account to access the internet and show youtube videos. Can you provide that information?
A - As long as the correct information is filled out in the rSchools Scheduler we will be notified about this and able to allow access.
Q - My guest would like to connect their own equipment to the classroom projection system. Is that possible?
A - No, guests are asked not to utilize district cables with their own equipment. Often times we find that the guest does not reconnect cables correctly leaving teachers frustrated.
Q - My guest is going to show photos from their online photo album. Will access be working?
A - Prior to your guest showing up all websites must be tested on a school computer. Our internet filter blocks many sites that might be necessary to fulfill this request.
Q - A vendor is coming in and she will be showing off software on her Chromebook. We are exploring this as an option to replace Microsoft Office. How can she connect to our network?
A - The Canandaigua City School District provides a guest wireless network with limited access to the internet. Testing would be necessary to ensure this access would be allowed.
