ALWAYS COLLECT AND KEEP RECEIPTS WHEN SPENDING COLLEGE MONEY.
SET Fund money can be spent in three ways:
You or your residents can pay for something and seek a reimbursement from the RHET Treasurer.
You can request a check from the RHET Treasurer.
You can request to use the RHET Treasurer's debit card.
SET Budget Tracking: The RHET Treasurer has the final say on the amount remaining in your SET accounts. Your RHET Treasurer tracks spending in a Google Sheet called the RHET Treasurer Journal and you can ask them for updates as needed.
You are strongly encouraged to maintain a separate document with your team to map out big events for the year and to set aside funds for various events.
For example:
$50 First floor activity$50 Thanksgiving activity$50 Christmas activity$50 End of Year activity$50 Valentine's activity$50 Remaining for misc events$350 TotalEvery floor has a SET Fund ($TBD/year), to be used for Social Events on the floor. This fund is managed by you and overseen by the RHET Treasurer.
SETs are encouraged to track their spending for their own records. The RHET Treasurer, however, is the final authority on how much money each floor has left in their budget.
Living-Learning Programming Fund money can be spent in two ways:
You or your residents can pay for something and seek a reimbursement from the RD (who will ask each individual seeking reimbursement to complete some paperwork).
You can request a cash-advance from the Housing Office (requires forethought!)
You can request to use the AC/GAs credit card.
Van Reken floors have Living-Learning Programming Funds ($350/semester + $300/Fall Retreat), to be used on living-learning programming. This fund is managed by you and overseen by the AC.
Living-Learning Programming Budget Tracking: The Area Coordinator has the final say on the amount remaining in your vR programming accounts. Here is a "view-only" link to the Living-Learning Budget Journal. [LINK NEEDED].
