The Coding club is doing some amazing things right now! They worked on coding a game that was pretty hard but started and new one. The one they are working on now has more customization to it! This new game that is being designed should be less complex than their last ones. The coding language this club uses is called Python. Down below is a link to games coded in Python.

This club meets every 1st and 3rd Friday of the Month at 8:00 A.M. PST. They would love to have you!

This is the tutorial they are using to help them right now

Fun Fact about coding!

  • The first “computer bug” was named after an actual bug! This bug was found by Grace Hopper. The computer she was building started to fail, that’s when she discovered an actual moth in the system. Since then, when something fails in either software or hardware, we call it a “bug”.

  • The first computer game didn’t make any profit. Today the gaming industry is worth $30 million (USD) more than the movie industry.

  • The Python programming language was not named after pythons, although its logo looks like a snake’s head. Its author Guido van Rossum chose such a name for the language due to the fact that he was a fan of the British comedy series “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”.

  • In December 1989, Python’s creator Guido Van Rossum was looking for a hobby project to keep him occupied in the week around Christmas. He had been thinking of writing a new scripting language that’d be a descendant of ABC and also appeal to Unix/C hackers. He chose to call it Python.
