MARCH 2nd ~ ASH WEDNESDAY

Ash Wednesday is officially on March 2nd this year! As we all know, it marks the first day of Lent, a 40 day period remembered as the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert. We can do many things on this day to observe Lent; we can fast from unnecessary things, read through one of the Gospels in the Bible, or even just feel the endless love of God!

MARCH 8th ~ INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

This is a global holiday to remember and commemorate all of the great and amazing achievements accomplishment by women all around the world! On this day, let's read up on some of the inspiring women who worked hard to change and make this earth a better place!

MARCH 13th ~ DAYLIGHT SAVINGS

Daylight! Daylight! We'll be getting more of it soon on March 13th! Remember to set all of the clocks in your house one hour ahead and get ready to enjoy the longer days in the spring and summer.

MARCH 17th ~ SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

This annual holiday is back once again! This day falls on the date of death for Saint Patrick, a saint of Ireland. Do you know how the clover became a symbol of this day? Irish legends say that Saint Patrick used them to explain to nonbelievers about the Holy Trinity. Maybe go and find one of these clovers and show them to someone else explaining what it can represent!

MARCH 17th ~ GIRLS/GUYS DEVO NIGHT

On March 17th, the second Girls and Guys devo nights will be happening! Once again, leaders from our ASB teams here at CPA will be leading these devotional times to teach students about the Word of God.

MARCH 18th ~ WORLD SLEEP DAY

Yes, this holiday is actually a real thing! But, did you know that this annual event was actually created to bring awareness to sleeping being a privilege of a human? Interesting, right? Anyhow, celebrate World Sleep Day by learning about the health benefits of sleeping and, well, sleeping!

MARCH 20th ~ INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS

Established by the United Nations, International Day of Happiness was designed and created to show people the importance of happiness within their lives. Happiness is one of the greatest things in the world, so surround yourself with positivity, spend time doing things that make you happy, and do something kind for someone else when celebrating International Day of Happiness!

MARCH 21st ~ WORLD POETRY DAY

Although the title might make people believe that World Poetry Day is a celebration to remember important poets such as William Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe, this day is actually a time to support languages and language learning through poems and other poetic devices. Join thousands of people in-person and online and celebrate the beauty of languages written within wonderful poems!

MARCH 30th ~ NATIONAL CRAYON DAY

Did you know that modern crayons were first created in 1903 and only contained eight colors? Today, there are thousands of crayons that come in shades of beautiful colors, so grab your favorite crayon or crayons and do something great with them on National Crayon Day!
