Reports Templates - The Time Savers
Skyward has two steps to creating a report:
Create a Report Template
Print the report
Although this might seem like an extra step, in reality it is a time-saver, since it allows the unlimited repeated use of the same report without having to re-select the options for the report.
Report Concepts
There are some concepts of that will make the process of creating a report template a smooth one.
Ranges - Filters for Templates - Every report is about date for some specific group of students. The ranges define who those students are. This might applies to other data, like courses, for example.
Sharing - Reports can be made available to be used by other Skyward users.
Cloning - A report can be duplicated to create a different report, while saving time.
Printing - Skyward does not print directly to paper. Instead it creates an electronic version of your report and lets the user decide if and when to print.
