  • Khan Academy: To support school closures, Khan Academy has daily (weekdays) 9 am PST/12 EST live streams on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter for students, parents, and teachers navigating school closures. Daily schedules for students ages 4-18 to keep learning using Khan Academy during school closures.

  • Learning Network: The Learning Network offers a dozen new writing prompts each week based on NYT journalism - all free.

  • Libby App (K-12): For digital books and audio books. Anyone with a library card (at least in whatever cities/states use Overdrive) can access it.

  • National Geographic: curated collections of learning activities to implement at home.

  • Read-Write-Think: printable and online activities, lesson plans, thematic units, and just overall fantastic planning, reading and writing activities that can be quickly printed or linked. Most of them are already linked to their common core standards

  • Scholastic Learn At Home (K-12): Day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing. (2 weeks of activities)

  • Shel Silverstein: learning resources for April is reading month.

  • Wonderopolis: a place where natural curiosity and imagination lead to exploration and discovery in learners of all ages. Each day, we pose an intriguing question—the Wonder of the Day®—and explore it in a variety of ways.

  • Read Live - Students can continue to use their Read Live license at home.

  • NEWSELA ELA (K-12) - Bring context and relevance using this resource. Engage students with topics they care about, while building the background knowledge and vocabulary they need to become active, engaged readers.

  • Epic! (K-7) - Digital library for kids 12 and under.

  • Moby Max (K-8): The software curriculum spans Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies for students in grades K-8 and meets the needs of struggling students as well as those working on grade level and beyond.

  • IXL (K-12) - From phonics and reading comprehension to writing strategies and more, IXL helps learners develop the communication skills needed for success in school, college, and career.
